Three universities in three weeks - now time for an Easter break

The Emerging Scholars (and staff) have been busy recently. Year 9 have been to UCL and Oxford and Year 8 spent Saturday 29th March at Cambridge studying Elegant Solutions and learning about what university is really like and how to get there.

The next session will be Year 8 and Year 9 on Saturday 26th April 2014. Year Eight will be studying Philosophy and Critical Thinking and Year Nine will be exploring their unconscious thinking through collage and then making plans for those Big Audacious Goals.

Year Ten are back on Saturday 10th May.

Pre-Easter trips

ESIP is taking a break from Forest but the sessions continue with trips to leading universities in March.

Year 9 are heading to UCL on Saturday 15th March followed by University of Oxford on Saturday 22nd March.

Year 8 are going to University of Cambridge on Saturday 29th March.

All students will be back at Forest on 26th April 2013 after the Easter break.

Session Five - Saturday 8th February 2014

ESIP is back at Forest this week for both Year 8 and Year 9. 

Year 8 will be exploring linguistics and codebreaking whilst Year 9 will be thinking deeply about brands and reputation and getting creative in Me and My Brand.

We're almost half way through!

After this session Forest takes a break but the ESIP students will be heading off on University awaydays to UCL and Oxford (Year 9) and Cambridge (Year 8) before Easter.

Year Eight head to Imperial College

The next ESIP session will be for Year Eight only to Imperial College this Saturday, 1st February 2014.

Your school will be in touch with you directly to make arrangements for travel. 

Year Nine will return to Forest on Saturday 8th February.

Happy New Year - ESIP back for all year groups on Sat 18th January

Tomorrow (Saturday 18th January) we bring together all three year groups of ESIP for the first time for Passion, Confidence and Making Choices Day

  • Year 8 will have Aspirations AND Stunt Factory: planning life paths, confidence building and expression
  • Year 9 will have Me and My Passion: articulation through public speaking, communication and achievement
  • Year 10 will have Managing Self: feeling empowered, confident and armed with tools for success

Students should arrive for 0930 for breakfast club.
